Your Petspanel account information and profile are password-protected which ensures that only you have access to this personal information. We recommend that you keep your password secret. Petspanel will never ask you for your password in a phone call or in an email. Remember to sign out of your account when you have finished.  Whenever Petspanel handles your personal information it makes sure your information is treated securely. While we strive to protect your personal information, any information you do send to us is done so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we do our best effort to ensure it is secure on our system.

INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT FROM YOU

When you visit or register on Petspanel.com, you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name and contact details. We may also collect information about your usage of our website as well as information about you from e-mails or letters you send to us.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Your information will enable us to provide you with access to all parts of our site and to contact you when necessary. It will also enable you to receive our surveys and access your rewards account. We will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop your experience within the website and surveys.

SURVEYS AND PRIZES

As a panel member, we contact you for your views via online surveys and discussion forums if you have previously agreed so. Participation in these surveys and discussion forums are entirely voluntary and you may choose whether to disclose some or all the requested information such postal address, age group, name. Survey information will be used for market research purposes only. Panel members are under no obligation to participate in the panel and may elect to leave the panel at any time. Petspanel also reserves the right to end the panel at any time. Contact information will also be used to notify the winners of prizes where draws are entered into by the user.

REFER A PET OWNER FRIEND

If a panel member chooses to inform a friend about our website, using our members’ online facility, we ask the panel member for the friend’s name and email address. The Petspanel website will automatically send the friend an one-off email inviting them to visit the website. Petspanel stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-off email. The colleague may contact Petspanel at surveys@petspanel.com to request the removal of this information from our database. If the member passes on the friend’s details to Petspanel, the member confirms that he/she has their friend’s permission to do so.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Petspanel will not share or disclose any of your personal information without your permission. Except in cases when the disclosure of confidential information may be required by law.

AGGREGATE DATA AND THIRD-PARTY DATA

Petspanel may match their user data with third party information for statistical purposes only. Petspanel may disclose non-personal data and aggregated statistics from our panellists (for example, 45% of our panellists are males) to third parties. This allows us to bring together a wide range of demographic information to illustrate our services to prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.

COOKIES

A cookie is a small amount of data that is stored on your computer’s hard disk. Petspanel may use cookies to keep information about you. Website pages which require a sign-in may ask you to accept cookies to generally improve your experience while visiting the site and avoid you having to enter your login information many times in one day.

ACCESSING AND UPDATING

You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do so, log in and update your details online. Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted to our sites and, where appropriate, will be sent to you through e-mail notification. All comments, queries and requests relating to our use of your information are welcomed and should be addressed to surveys@petspanel.com.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION

Petspanel members may unsubscribe from this service at any time by accessing their Petspanel member account online. Members should be aware that once the account is deleted from Petspanel.com, any points that have not been redeemed BEFORE cancellation of the account will be lost.

INACTIVE ACCOUNTS

Petspanel and CM Research reserve the right to remove any accounts which have not been active for a period of 14 consecutive months.

An active Panellist is a member who registered to join Petspanel and has participated in at least one survey or has updated his/her profile data within the last 14 months.

An inactive account on Petspanel.com is an account held by a member who has either not made use of the members’ area of the Petspanel website and/or not participated in surveys for 14 consecutive months. Inactive accounts will be sent a notification email after 12 months and deleted with no warning after 14 months of inactivity. Any points remaining on the account at the time of cancellation will be lost. Petspanel is owned and operated by CM Research.
